A little history: We have always had dogs like any ranch does. We had Aussies and mutts and English Shepherds. In 2005, the first border collie came into my life. I was just puppy-sitting him until his owner moved back home. His name was Freeway. He was the smartest, most gritty pup I have ever known. Freeway was all business and loved to work but he also really loved me. I started him on stock and made a lot of mistakes but we learned so much together. After he went back to his owner, there was a hole in my life that my Aussie couldn’t fill. So the decision was made to purchase our first border collie.
